Provisional Patent Obtained for Screebl Technology Print
In June, 2009, a provisional patent was obtained for the technology behind Screebl.  Screebl is an application written for the Android platform that controls power-saving features of a mobile device based on recognizable orientation patterns. The patent was filed to cover the novel application of orientation data as an indicator of activity when "passive" operations are being performed on a mobile device.  This makes a more pleasing experience for users that are reading emails or browsing the web, while offering power saving potential as well.
